Mariachi and Folklorico Academy of San Jose is pleased to announce our 2024 Winter Recital feauturing students from our academy programs. Please join us for a day of music and dancing showcasing the future of folklorico and mariachi in San Jose.

FAQ's
What should my student wear?
Girls: Practice falda, Mexican blouse, zapatillas, beads, any style Mexican hair with flowers or ribbons, and makeup is optional
Boys: Black pants, white button up shirt, neck bow or bandana

What time should students arrive?
Call time for students will be 1 hour before their showtime
Are guests allowed?
Guests are allowed and we please ask you limit guests to 5-8 per student.
What should we expect?
Our winter recital is our informal recital open to the public. Classes dance 2 songs. Seating will be in bleachers and families are welcome to walk in and out during the event. 30 minutes before showtime, our MC will announce the selected class to come behind the stage curtains to begin preparing. Parents will walk students to their teacher and take a seat back in the bleachers. After the show, parents will pick up their student by the curtains. You may leave as soon as your student is done performing.

Live performances are an incredible opportunity for students to build confidence, showcase their hard work, and share their joy for dance with an audience. The energy and excitement of performing in front of a crowd are experiences that will inspire and motivate them for years to come.

Tickets are required and can be secured by visiting mfatickets.com. This is a free event sponsored by the Mariachi and Folklorico Academy team.
