Founded in 2007 by Ashley Lopez, Grupo Folklórico Los Laureles began in San Jose, California, as a small group of family members united by a shared love of traditional Mexican dance. Today, it has grown into a multifaceted cultural organization serving the Bay Area in every way dance can. Families can enroll in our structured academy classes, guided by a curriculum designed to challenge and grow dancers of all ages, a distinction that makes us the only private Folklórico academy in San Jose. Organizations, schools, and event planners can book our talent for assemblies, halftime shows, and live entertainment, brought to life by three professional performance companies. Through our teacher training program, we're also building the next generation of Folklórico educators.
